COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 7 AM EDT MONDAY
Somerset, Wicomico and Dorchester Counties
* WHAT…Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
* WHEN…From 8 PM this evening to 5 AM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns
near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.
Minor flooding is expected with the next two high tide cycles:
9/28 Monday morning at 1:59am
9/28 Monday afternoon at 2:20 pm
Never drive through water of unknown depth or past road barriers and slow down to a crawl to avoid creating a wake that can flood nearby homes.
