Doc Holloway was born and raised on Chincoteague Island and was a graduate of Chincoteague High School. Doc found his love for music through band in school, and from DJing at Middle School and High School Dances. Upon graduation, he started in radio right away on the Eastern Shore in 1993 at MY106 & MY107 (Pocomoke & Onancock). Mainly starting as a board-op, he had a few weekend shifts that interested his love for radio even more. Doc then moved to WVES – Hot Country 99.3, where he spent most of his radio career, handling on-air shifts, programming, and promotions. Doc later was employed by Bay Broadcasting, Inc. on Bay Country 97.9 in Crisfield and eventually when Bay Country moved to Pocomoke. Years later, Doc started working at WCTG on Chincoteague Island, his hometown. Later, CTG would become GSB Media, LLC and Doc joined the line-up and had behind the scenes ties with production and imaging. Doc has been the morning host of the Bay Country Breakfast on Bay Country 97.9 since GSB Media, LLC took over in 2018. Doc also is a dispatcher at the Chincoteague Police Department and is the drummer for The Irie Tree Band and the Island Baptist Church Praise Band. He is a past member of the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company and past Vice President and past President of the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce.
